This article studies the book, Peregrinación de Bartolomé Lorenzo antes de entrar en la Compañía (Pilgrimage of Bartolomé Lorenzo before entering the Society of Jesus), by the Jesuit Father Joseph de Acosta, written in 1586, as a literary work, moving away from the narrow focus on it as a detailed biography or as a narrative of truths. Our reading summons various existing categories of the literary theory and the theory of fiction.Downloads
