The names used in nominating people in the Roman World, equivalent toour Christian names, family names or sumames were chosen by Spanishspeakingfamilies when selecting.fzrst names for their children. But they alsoborrowed extensively from the common vocabulary when they thoughtthat such names would inspire their children' lives. They are drawing ourinterest now. A number of these are shown here, together with adescription of sorne regular phonological processes.Downloads
