Urban transport in almost every city has some problems such as congestion and the costs of cons- truction of road networks. This study deals with the analysis and design of road transport networks using genetic algorithms. As an alternative solution is to minimize the total travel time of users of the transportation network, the minimization of the cost of road construction or improvement of existing roads on routes where the traffic is very congested. As a case study applied to the city of Lima, which is also applicable to other similar cities. As shown were taken to a small area of the city of Lima.Downloads
