Abstract

The main objective of this research is to confirm that with the method proposed in this article it will be possible to evaluate and obtain better results on the accessibility of the web portals of the audiovisual archives in Lima-Peru, for which a validated checklist was used based on the success criteria of the WCAG 2.1 with its 4 principles and using 15 indicators, which consolidates the data obtained from a manual review and with automatic tools. As a result, it was obtained that the analyzed web portals do not reach an acceptable level of accessibility, finding 50% at a deficient level, 46.43% at a moderate level and only 1 web portal obtained a high level, it was also identified that the indicator with greater errors is that of time-based media. The conclusions of the present investigation show that the method proposed allows evaluating the web portals of audiovisual archives and obtaining better results on the level, as well as making accessibility errors visible, as well as allowing institutions to submit their portals to evaluation following the method posed.
