This essay is a critical reflection on the concept of information. We argue that there are two different interpretations, which depend on subjective or objective sense of the concept. Both are necessary to the philosophy of computing. We make a historical interpretation of the word information, which argued the change of definition from a subjective approach to the objective approach, coming to our times with difficult accuracy.
