The purpose of the research work is to determine if Project-Based Learning will improve the levels of learning in the students of the Information Systems Design course, of the Faculty of Systems Engineering of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. The methodology for the development of the research is explanatory and the design is quasi-experimental, of two non-equivalent groups with pre and post test. It will seek to establish the correlation between Project Based Learning and significant improvement in the learning of the course. Applied on a population of 57 students of the course. To follow up, the instrument of Control Tests taken before and after the application of Project-Based Learning will be used. The results found are a significant improvement in the learning levels of the course, concluding that the intervention carried out in the students of the Course, Design of Information Systems, caused improvements in the expected performances, both procedurally and conceptually, in relation to control group.
