The variable "satisfaction with organizational climate (OC)" is a latent variable that cannot be directly measured. Typically, questionnaires are used to define a set of relevant questions for its measurement, often using a Likert scale. Its analysis is part of measurement theory, specifically Classical Test Theory (CTT) or Item Response Theory (IRT). This study has demonstrated the usefulness of IRT models in analyzing OC for both dichotomous and polytomous items. For IRT, the one-parameter logistic model (1PL or Rasch), the two-parameter logistic model (2PL or Birnbaum), and the Graded Response Model (GRM) were applied. The GRM is particularly suitable for analyzing OC as it better fits Likert scale or polytomous items.
