KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN THE PERUVIAN UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The Peruvian Universities, at the moment lack of tools for Strategic Knowledge Management and the criteria associated to the Information Technologies, that are necessary for the successful implementation of the Knowledge Management, designed on the base of a Technological Architecture and the Cultural Aspects of the University with a vision centered in the strategic development, this is because a series of inhibitors exists which do not allow them to be inserted and to be recognized in the world, like competitive universities. The universities fulfill important roll in the development of the society and must be based on suitable Strategic policies sustained in to the coordinated work of their members, which are constituted in groups of people who are offering what they know to do, obtaining experiences and valuating them, making use of the Information Technologies and considering that the University is the institution by excellence dedicated to the knowledge generation and transmission. Considering that the analysis, evaluation, exposition and application of the Knowledge Management based in the use of the Information Technologies, will allow us to create the conditions so the management and the rate of learning of the Peruvian University would higher to the demanded of the society (harnessing the services of standard quality), which will allow that we pruned to innovate and therefore to offer a superior quality of education and service, optimizing to the cycle of accumulated experiences and the learning at great speed.
