The business incubators arise from the 80's, as a too! of economic development for developed countries as well as developing countries. The survival and consolidation of the incubated companies, in the more and more competitive markets, are the added value obtained from the results of the scientific and technological investment, being this last one, a differential characteristic. This characteristic, that is intrinsic to universities, along with the global policies of promotion of the youth e employment, and of the promotion of the use, and application of the Information Technologies (JT), is generating the sprouting of Company incubators based on IT nested to universities. This work has as purpose to develop the state-of-the-art of IT company incubators from the beginning. analyzing its evolution throughout time, as well as its characterization, incubation models. implementation methodologies in universities and existing technological support. lt also describes a general panorama of the present situation and main challenges of the company incubators in Peruvian universities.Downloads
