Abstract

The process of monitoring, control and performance evaluation of the Institutional Control Bodies (OCI), is exercised on an ongoing basis and intermittently as periods and deadlines established in the relevant Directives, and because of the amount of existing OCI - 795 OCI - is that the process involves many advisors (experts) of the governing body - Comptroller General of the Republic - and therefore requires many man hours to complete the process of monitoring both the formulation and implementation of Annual Plan Control (PAC). This paper proposes the automation of monitoring, control and performance evaluation of the OIC through an Expert System (SE) using the methodo- logy developed IDEAL. The prototype developed has shown full functionality with integrated, so that the use of expert systems for monitoring, control and performance evaluation of the OCI, is an appropriate way to approach the development of information systems, in the field of government control.
