The objective of this project was to determine and evaluate the situation of tuberculosis in primates reared in semi-captivity in the Peruvian Rainforest through the latent infection using serological test kit PrimaTB STATPAK ® Assay, also performed oral swabs staining Ziehl Neelsen. Sampling was conducted blood serum and oral swabs of 56 primates of several species in the rescue and rehabilitation center IKAMAPeru in Moyobamba and Loreto. The serological test was immediately sera were collected, resulting in negative. The analysis of test bacteria resistant acid Ziehl Neelsen also negative. The man becomes the main carrier of the disease and evaluated primates found in a type of semi-captive breeding in the same habitat and are a lower risk factor for the presentation of this disease. The results contributed as health contribution to reintroduce some of these primates vulnerable to the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.Downloads
