Since the analysis of images in its historic context it is proposed a different reading of El Peru Ilustrado, a weekly magazine published at the end of the 19th. century by a migrant who in spite of his Italo-American origin, is committed in an interesting and meaningful editorial and artistic effort, to spread the sense of nation of a country that retrieves slowly from the defeat in the Pacific war. It is an approach to understand and value the contribution of this publication and specially its lithographies since the artistic perspective of the latest XIX century, without the unavoidable prejudices of the one who seeks the past since the restlessners and understanding of the presentDownloads
