Abstract

The objective of this study was to present the general characteristics of the components of a photovoltaic solar energy system, the basic criteria for designing it and the computations in order to implement 03 systems that are currently working at the FIEE - UNMSM installations. In order to carry out this task it was collected several bibliographic references and we conducted coordination with solar photovoltaic systems providers, it was defined the basic criteria for system design, it was prepared a computation sheet, and they were performed the computation for three types of systems which were installed and put into operation. As a conclusion currently the FIEE-UNMSM has a basic Solar Energy Laboratory which could be used in order to train students, to perform research and to provide services.
