Abstract

This paper has the objective of presenting the results of the development of a nation-wide project in Peru that consisted in the migration of wireless equipment operating in the 900 MHz frequency band from this band to other frequency bands, allowing the liberation of interferences and the starting of the technical and commercial operation of Viettel Peru as a service provider licensee for 20 years. This Project was managed using the good practices of the Project Management Institute (PMI) giving the final result of liberating the 900 MHz frequency band. It is concluded that the project "Migración 900 MHz" achieved the liberation of the 900 MHz band within the agreed timetable and budget.
