Abstract

The objective of this paper was to evaluate the exposure levels of general public to electromagnetic fields from 500 kV power lines in Peru. In this paper was included the results of the study carried out by INICTEL-UNI staff which by means of prediction software and bench marking there were obtained the possible exposure levels and the compliance of international and national guidelines on exposure limits to electromagnetic fields from 500 kV power lines. The results showed that exposure outside the rignts of way were in compliance with the exposure limits.
