In this paper we are reporting about token mesh bidimensional topology's advantages as applied to current communications networks; furthermore. Such superior topology is oriented toward the goal of boosting and multiplying the network's performance as the latter is increased in dimension with more stations. I on the other hand, compared with a FDDI Linear Network the necessary hardware is practically, the same as the one used by the FDDI. The FDDI Dual Ring Technology as well as its extension toward token mesh topology has been applied during the design and development by stages of UNMSM’S Fiber Optics Based Data Network.Downloads
