Silver-Copper Core-Shell nanoparticles as additives to functionalize plastics through extrusion process
Keywords:
copper, silver nanoparticles, bactericidal.Abstract
Today, nanoparticles have an important role globally in terms of scientific and industrial research and development. The copper and silver nanoparticles are part of this technology and have diverse applications due to their chemical and biological properties. That is why this paper presents a review of the properties of these metals at nanoparticle level, being of great interest the bactericidal property, whose research focuses on the development of new materials for biomedical and food sectors; for this reason it is considered the human exposure to copper and silver nanoparticles will increase significantly in the coming years. In addition to this, we describe the different synthetic methods for these nanoparticles, being of great interest the “green” synthesis where no environment pollution is generated.Downloads
