This essay explores the fictional crack in a colonial discourse, this is the Letter of Pero Vaz de Caminha to El Rei D. Manuel on or achamento do Brasil from April 22 to May 1, 1500, a paper that is made from moderation descriptive, influenced by the Portuguese humanism and travel experience to conquer the Portuguese kingdom. This letter suggests a relationship indigenous look stranger has come, for the first time to the lands now known as Brazil. As colonial discourse fundamental committed in the Brazilian academy, in the constitution of a type of literature is presented as the start of writing in the lands of Latin America.Downloads
