PERU: TRENDS ENROLLMENTS TOTAL, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE OF EDUCATION REGULAR BASIC, 1963-2013

Using statistical projection techniques (Box-Jenkins), the study reveals the presence of two distinct trends in the growth of enrollment by type of management: the public is growing during the period 1963-2000; and private, after being stationary in the same period, growing from 2001 to 2013. In general, private enrollment to total enrollment ratio begins to grow from 1998 after being stable for the years 1963-1997. On the other hand, if it continues the growing trend of private enrollment in Peru, regardless of the projections made, the ratio of the private thing might equalize Chile (Primary, 52.8%; and, High School, 50.6 %).Downloads
