Abstract

When some details in the translation of Rimbaud´s text Un cœur sous une soutane are different from the original, and the translator is a young novelist in search of original style, we can suspect this writer is showing how he perceives the textual elements he is translating. These are parts of a podtext or backtext of his own novel in progress, and they testify to his own “demons”.

    Catedrática emérita, especialista en literatura hispanoamericana (Mario Vargas Llosa, Miguel Ángel Asturias, Rómulo Gallegos) de la Universidad de Reims (Francia). Codirectora de Approches Interdisciplinaires de la Lecture (Acercamientos Interdisciplinarios de la Lectura) y de la revista anual AIL. Coautora de L´arrière-texte. Pour repenser le littéraire (Peter Lang, 2013) y de diversos estudios sobre la literatura. Entre sus libros destacan: La Guerra del fin del mundo de Mario Vargas Llosa: histoire, histoires (1992), Lectures de Rómulo Gallegos (2006), Lectures de Gabriel García Márquez (2013), y otros estudios de obras hispanoamericanas. Asimismo, ha escrito artículos sobre escritores peruanos e hispanoamericanos, tales como: “Poder seductor, poder destructor”, “La ciudad y los perros, novela inaugural”, “Estructura de Los ríos profundos de José María Arguedas”, “La barbarie y sus ritos”, “Mario Vargas Llosa y Víctor Hugo”, “Mario Vargas Llosa y William Faulkner”, entre otros estudios centrados en la literatura peruana e hispanoamericana.
