Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the level of development of the moral judgment that showed college students from three geographic zones of Peru (Lima, Huancavelica and Ayacucho) and relate to the levels of justification of the violence that took place in our country during the internal armed conflict for the decades of 1980 to 2000. Also determine whether there are significant differences between these dimensions and the area of origin of the students taking into account the manifestations geographical and cultural partners of the violence who lived in our country. We used 209 University students of the career education of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Universidad Nacional de Huancavelica, and Pedagogical Institute “Our Lady of Lourdes” of Ayacucho. Applied the questionnaire of moral reflection (SROM) of Gibbs and Lazear (adapted and reduced) and a test of Perception of Violence (PPVP) elaborated and validated for this study. The type of design was descriptive comparative and correlational. Also found correlation between levels of moral development and justification of violence except in case of Lucanamarca where scores in Ayacucho and Huancavelica were very high.
