Formation of the Nomatsiguenga native community of Cubantia

La estructura mínima de organización de los pueblos indígenas en el Perú son las Comunidad Campesina, para la zona andina y costera y la Comunidad Nativa, para la zona de selva. En el primer caso, este esquema de asentamiento centralizado, data de etapas preincas, mientras que para la selva es de décadas más recientes; sin embargo, ambas comparten una característica en común: su creación “formal” se dio en base a una concentración previa por motivos culturales propios, como en el caso de las comunidades de la Sierra, o por motivos culturales externos, como en el caso de la Selva. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo hacer una breve reseña histórica del proceso de concentración poblacional de las comunidades nativas de la selva, mostraron especial interés en las comunidades de la Selva Central.
