This paper, in an effort to recover part of everyday life, is intended primarily to analyze the economic strategies that have adopted the Cuban families as a result of structural changes in the national economy during the Special Period. Specifically aims to show, from three case studies, how the crisis following the collapse of the socialist bloc, has substantially changed the domestic economy of families in the city of Havana to integrating informal and illegal economic activities through which they have able to obtain more resources.
