The article deals with the procession of the “Señor de Pchacamilla” celebrated in Rome by the Peruvian immigrants, were shows how the ritual constructs the political and cultural relations between the participants, the Italian State and the Vatican. In this power system the Vatican acts as an intermediary between the immigrants and the Italian political organization.
