Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had great effects on all existing structures in the world’s societies. The coronavirus is a biological disease but its transmission, spread and control is completely social. The study of its effects and the problems it has generated in the international context, and in the Cuban in particular, aggravated by the intensification of the economic and financial blockade implemented by the United States towards the island, is essential for social studies. Its consequences have accentuated age, racial, economic, and labor inequalities, among others, as well as exposing the weaknesses in the social policies of various sectors.
