Abstract

The objective of this paper is to start from conceptual theoretical considerations of political and economic geography that seek to give another explanation to the discipline and practice of logistics in the international commercial field. The discussion aims to highlight the role of a process known as “logistics revolution” emerged after the Second World War and pushed a series of transformations that contributed to the production of an integrated spatiality under a logistic reason at different geographical scales. In addition, it seeks to account for the link between the process of global militarization that has intensified in recent years since the restructuring of the geography of neoliberal capitalism, leading to the reconceptualization of security and its exercise.
