Abstract

This document analyzes on the text by Aníbal Quijano, “Well live”: between “development” and the de/coloniality of power, written at the end of the first decade of the 21st century. which raises the sense of Well Living, as an alternative to the De/Coloniality of Power, another mode of social existence, with its own specific historical horizon of meaning, radically alternative, to the Global Coloniality of Power and to the Coloniality/Modernity/Eurocentric. Quijano, develops this approach, taking into account the establishment of the idea of “development”, the expansion of financial industrial capital, the root crisis of the Coloniality of Power, the exploitation of nature, the new resistances towards the de/coloniality of power, as a continuous democratic production of social existence, where it locates the practices of Well Living, carried out by indigenous peoples and communities racialized as “indigenous” from the “global South”.
