Abstract

In 2023, I had the opportunity to attend the X Latin American Meeting of Geography Students (ELEG) in Costa Rica, a highly relevant event that revived a tradition suspended by the pandemic. This meeting brought together students from all over Latin America, offering a unique space to discuss crucial issues in regional geography and strengthen student fellowship. Through presentations, exchanges of ideas, and field visits, we were able to reflect on the challenges and potentialities of our discipline in the Latin American context. This experience not only reaffirmed my passion for geography, but also inspired me to continue working for a more inclusive, collaborative, and critical geography, capable of generating a real impact in our region.
