In 2014, all UNMSM research journals were published by Internet in Open Access in the Portal de Revistas de Investigacion with a Creative Commons license (CC BY-NC-SA). As of January 2021, the magazines adopted the Creative Commons CC By license.

THE AUTHORS RETAIN THEIR RIGHTS:
- The author retains their Copyright, patent rights, and on any process or procedure described in the article.
- The authors retain the right to share, copy, distribute, perform, and publicly communicate the article published in Espiral journal (for example, place it in an institutional repository or publish it in a book or book chapter), with an acknowledgment of their Initial publication in the magazine Espiral.
- The authors retain the right to make a subsequent publication of their work, to use the article or any part of it (for example: a compilation of their works, notes for conferences, thesis, or for a book), if they indicate the source of publication (authors of the work, journal, volume, number, and date).
- Authors can publish their previous work in open access repositories as pre-prints, communicating this to the editor when it is presented to the journal.
- Likewise, the versions generated during the review process can be published in repositories, with the intention that they can lead to productive exchanges and a greater and faster dissemination of the published work.
