The aim of the research was to determine the impact of virtual reality gamification on the learning of search algorithms in the subject of Artificial Intelligence at UNPRG’s school of computer engineering and informatics. A quasi-experimental design with two groups was used to measure the academic performance and satisfaction of 22 students, using a test and a Likert scale questionnaire with Cronbach's alpha of 0.91, respectively. The performance of the experimental group showed a highly significant improvement compared to the control group (p < 0.01) and the level of satisfaction was very good at 86.4%.
