A 10-year-old female canine patient was admitted to the consultation. The clinical examination revealed a protrusion with soft and mildly painful content at the level of the hypogastrium in the left mammary gland, plus an inguinal hernia. During the physical examination, vulvar hypoplasia, protrusion of the clitoris and seropurulent discharge. Diagnostic imaging tests such as digital radiography and ultrasonography were used. It was decided to perform exploratory laparotomy where intestinal necrosis resulting from imprisonment was determined. Likewise, true hermaphroditism could be determined due to the presence of a testicle retained in the abdominal cavity. Enterectomy was performed, and simultaneously ovary hysterectomy and orchiectomy were performed. The patient recovered satisfactorily from surgery and progressed favorably.
