The study evaluated the population structure and productive and reproductive parameters of 1149 Brown Swiss cattle raised in 101 herds in three sectors (K'uchuhuasi, Cullahuata and Alccavictoria) of the Velille district, Cusco, located at altitudes ranging between 3650 and 3900 meters above sea level. Surveys were conducted and existing records of these populations corresponding to the years 2021, 2022 and 2023 were analysed. The analysis of variance was performed and the LSMENANS function of the emmeans library was used using the R v. 4.0 programming language and RStudio. No significant differences (p>0.05) were found between sectors in most categories of the population structure. The percentage of cows in production was between 33.98 ± 11.53% and 36.6 ± 12.88%. The productive and reproductive parameters evaluated did not differ between sectors (p>0.05) except for the interval between calvings (p<0.05). The results obtained were similar to those reported in studies carried out under similar environmental and geographical conditions, but lower than the ideal values recommended for dairy herds with adequate technical management.
