Abstract

Los parámetros productivos de peso vivo, consumo de alimento, conversión alimenticia y la mortalidad, durante las primeras cuatro semanas de vida en la codorniz japonesa Coturnix coturnix japónica están reportados. Tres grupos de reproducción (L1, L2 y L3) que constan de 1.400 aves cada uno, se subdividieron en 14 unidades experimentales aleatorias de 100 codornices en jaula. Se encontraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas (P<0,05) en el final del peso vivo 114.3g, y 113.8g; 108.6g para grupos L1, L2 y L3, así como para la ganancia de peso final (106.2g, 105.5g 100,4g). Las diferencias en el consumo de alimento fueron estadísticamente significativas (P<0,05) entre el grupo de L1 (309.3g) y L3 (305.6g), así como entre L2 (309.1g) y L3 (305.6g), pero no para los grupos L1 y L2. Las tasas de conversión alimenticia de 2.71 (grupo L1), 2,72 (grupo L2) y 2.8 (grupo L3) no fueron estadísticamente significativas, excepto para el grupo L3 (P>0,05). Las tasas de mortalidad de 3,4%, 4,1% y 3,2% para L1, L2 y L3, respectivamente, no fueron estadísticamente diferentes (P>0,05).
