Los sueros de 255 aves aparentemente normales, que pertenecen a 16 especies del orden Psitaciformes, en el Zoológico Parque de las Leyendas en Lima se pusieron a prueba para detectar la presencia de anticuerpos de la enfermedad de Newcastle. La prueba de inhibición de la hemaglutinación se utilizó para la detección de anticuerpos contra Paramixovirus serotipo 1. Todas las aves dieron negativo, lo que sugiere que no se han expuesto al virus de la enfermedad de Newcastle y no comprende un depósito de paramixovirus-1 en el momento en que este estudio fue hecho.Downloads
