Spanish doctors and Americans who exercised the profession in the City of the Kings during the first centuries of the viceroyalty, they were not cured of the need for a newspaper, a "paper" as it was then called, in whose pages could find benevolent welcome inquiries scientific or lengthy observations of the same nature. No missing arguments to deal with, because the doctors could observe carefully these diseases hitherto not described by one author and were among the obstacles they had to overcome to reach the goal of his aspirations heroic adventurers of the conqueror and founder of Lima of Peru; Wart had greeted the diezmándoles adventurous afeándoles amargándoles faces and a harrowing journey; typhus had made them know the magnitude of its devastating power. And, besides these, indigenous medicine, quackery and half respectable half herborísmo, ofrecíales a vast field in which to poke the truth to make it known for the benefit of those who suffer. Unfortunately, it was not an argument that treat was needed but subjects able to treat them: doctors of that time were essentially practical, of questionable merit in the generality of cases, and only be counted among them a few who stood out for their qualities character and by their qualities of wit; but even these, did not show any effort to pass down to the last full proof of his profitable industriousness in the respectable pages of a well-intentioned book.Downloads
