Abstract

A summary of the most important clinical manifestations of zika virus infection, Arboviral infection, transmitted mainly by mosquitoes of the genus Aedes, is presented, The similarity with the signs and symptoms produced by the infection with the dengue virus is highlighted, as well as the low proportion of symptomatic infected. Various manifestations of the disease are listed, especially neurological involvement and rare serious forms that could lead to death.
