Pensábamos que al momento de publicar el presente número tendríamos los relatos científicos sobre los primeros bebes clonados en los Estados Unidos de América, Europa y Japón. Pero, el hecho es que, al parecer, no sabremos si esta novedad realmente ocurrió o fue más que todo un hecho propagandístico, sin respaldo científico ni veracidad. Todo lo que sabemos es que el grupo Clonaid, bajo la dirección de Brigitte Boisselier, anunció a fines de diciembre el nacimiento de lo que denominaron el primer bebé clonado del mundo, una niña llamada Eva, nacida de una pareja norteamericana. Luego se dijo que un segundo niño nació de una pareja lesbiana holandesa a inicios de enero. Y, el miércoles 22 del mismo mes, habría nacido otro niño en Japón de una madre sustituta (la madre real tendría 41 años), en quien se habría empleado células de un niño de 2 años que había fallecido.Downloads
