Low coverage of the vaccine against COVID-19 in indigenous or originating people of Peru

La pandemia por la COVID-19 en el mundo ha generado una emergencia sanitaria sin prece-dentes; en el Perú, causo una elevada mortalidad, hasta el mes de junio 2022 hubieron más de 213 259 fallecidos por COVID-19 (1). Sin duda el sistema de salud no estuvo preparado para res-ponder a esta pandemia, por ello la elevada letalidad (5,90%). Como manifiestó la OMS, ahora podemos decir que la pandemia por la COVID-19 nos generó problemas para contenerla y sus secuelas ponen en evidencia, magnifican y exacerban las desigualdades sociales, económicas, de género y étnicas preexistentes en las que radican las desigualdades sanitarias (2).
