La Salud Pública es tanto la culminación como el inicio de la práctica médica, su máxima realización y su punto de partida. En efecto, es a través de las actividades de Salud Pública que se identifican los principales problemas de salud que afectan a las poblaciones y que motivan su investigación, tratamiento y búsqueda de modelos que permitan su prevención y control.
