Abstract

A case of gastric Trichobezoar is presented in a adult female with background of trichophagy, pica and familiar malfunction. The diagnosis was confirmed by endoscopic findings that report the presence of hairs in the stomach. As an support to this rare pathology, we presented this case which is first in the Room of San Andres and the third one at "Hospital Dos de Mayo" in the last 20 years, We reviewed the most important characteristics of this pathology. In the endoscopic study, there was also found a peptic ulcer in the non-blooding incisure. The abdominal surgery confirmed the diagnosis of the Trichobezoar. The recovery was sucessful.
