Evaluación del cloruro de trifenil tetrazolium como prueba diagnóstica de las infecciones urinarias

El presente trabajo estudia el test del Uroscreen como prueba química para el diagnóstico rápido de las infecciones urinarias. La prueba se basa en que la actividad metabólica de las bacterias es capaz de reducir al cloruro de 2, 3, 5 trifenil tetrazolium (T.T.C.) a un precipitado insoluble y coloreado, visible a simple vista, que se presenta cuando el número de bacterias en el espécimen es superior a 100,000 por c.c., cifra compatible con infección urinaria.Downloads
