Abstract

Have been studied 43 hypertensive patients , all with blood pressure over 150 systolic and 90 diastolic . 14 of these patients have hypertension ignored , which was found to do the physical examination of the patient . Tests have been performed renal function ( creatinine clearance , excretion fenolsulfotaleína , Ureic purification , assay of blood urea and creatinine test Addis ) , excretory urography, aortography , ECG, examination of the fundus and radiorenogramas in most these patients . Patients examined renogram were divided into three groups : normal renogram : 21 patients belonged to this group ; their ancillary tests performed were completely normal. Bilateral abnormal renogram : 15 patients belonged to this group with diagnoses of chronic diffuse glomerulonephritis , chronic pyelonephritis , malignant nephrosclerosis , essential hypertension, Kinmerstiel Wilson syndrome , bilateral renal artery stenosis. Auxiliary tests agreed facts greater excretion fenolsulfotaleína and blood creatinine clearance . Excretory urography was normal in 5 cases . Unilateral abnormal renogram : includes 7 patients diagnosed with unilateral renal artery stenosis , chronic pyelonephritis and reaction paroxysmal hypertension . Two of these patients did not complete their exams have gone high . Ancillary tests done showed decreased excretion of fenolsulfotaleína in two cases of arterial stenosis. Creatinine clearance decreased moderately expressed in the two cases in which it was made. Excretory urography showed phase delay at 5 minutes in the three cases of unilateral arterial stenosis. In the remaining cases it was normal. It is noted that the renogram showed no clinical agreement with two cases: the reaction paroxysmal hypertension and chronic pyelonephritis ; according to the renogram had a kidney abnormality , however tests showed normal facts can.
