Abstract

Giovanni Battista Monteggia described in 1814 trauma forearm injury after him is called Monteggia fracture and is characterized by diaphyseal fracture of the proximal ulna and anterior dislocation of the radial head. Have addressed her European and American authors, but in Peru has not been done so far a publication. thereon. The purpose of this paper is to present the cases that have been treated at the Central Public Assistance Lima and draw attention to our environment on this traumotolóqica entity that is not well known and that despite the time elapsed since it was described by Monteggia, presents problems still unsolved.
