Abstract

An anatomo-pathologic study of the lungs of a 9 years old child, which died after being ill three months of a pulmonary disease diagnosed as "whooping cough". The author found thrombosis of the main trunk of the pulmonary artery, which had likewise encroached on a great portion of the left branch, and penetrated into the tiniest ramifications of the right branch. Very distended blood capillaries and lymph vessels are visible in the most adherent part of the trombus. (Beginning of permeabilization) . In the right lung, the author found a triangular myocardial, the base whereof occupied the middle and lower parts of the lung. In the heart, a noticeable hypertrophy of the right ventricle was discovered.
