Abstract

The Open School of Social Sciences Project is a university extension initiative that falls within the framework of University Social Responsibility. Through an open call, proposals for academic programs are invited to be freely offered to the general public. The main objective of this project is to democratize access to knowledge in the field of social sciences and, in the medium term, establish synergies among participants to develop projects with impact in their organizations and territories. The purpose of this report is to reflect on the development of the Open School of Social Sciences Project. It seeks to analyze the challenges and opportunities related to the implementation of theoretical-practical training activities in the university setting. Thus, providing a critical reflection on the progress, challenges, and opportunities related to the implementation of this project, and offering recommendations to strengthen its scope and effectiveness.
