Abstract

This study specifically focused on the situation of Brazilian education through a literature review. Based on the deductive method, it sought to identify its main challenges and/or obstacles, as well as possible responses to this reality through education in human rights and global citizenship. Therefore, when questioning whether current education would save humanity, the research concluded that it must first be saved. Saved from everything that has been hindering the fulfillment of its ultimate purpose. In this way, lucidly and realistically, it is not positioned as "the redeemer" but rather as one of the possible solutions to address Brazil's structural and structuring problems in an increasingly interdependent and interconnected world.
