About the Journal

Historical summary

The Revista de Investigación de Física (RIF) published its first issue in 1998. Since that year it has remained current until today. In 2016 it was indexed in Latindex 1.0. In April 2021, the RIF journal was included in the UNMSM Research Journal Portal and accredited by the Editorial Fund of UNMSM. In September 2021, it obtained the indexing in the Latindex 2.0 catalog and in the Directory of Open Access Journal (DOAJ). Currently, the RIF journal is published only in electronic format.

Aim and scope

The Revista de Investigación de Física is a quarterly publication of the UNMSM Faculty of Physical Sciences, refereed by national and international peers, dedicated to the publication of original and unpublished works, based on research results in the area of Physical Sciences and Engineering. The RIF magazine publishes original articles by teachers, researchers and students from UNMSM and other institutions dedicated to the advancement of Physics. The Revista de Investigación de Física is published in April, August and December.

Open access policy

The Revista de Investigación de Física provides immediate free access to all its content under the principle that: making research freely available to the public encourages greater global knowledge exchange. The Physics Research Journal adheres to the Open Access principles and policies established in Budapest (2002) (BOAI 10), Berlin (2003) and Bethesda (2003) and gives readers the free, irrevocable, worldwide right to access the information, as well as download, print, share or link the full text of any of the articles in any of the published issues, as long as they are properly cited and taking into consideration the copyright, established in Legislative Decree 822 , Copyright Law, Peru. The Physics Research Journal uses a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License for the distribution of articles.

Editorial ethics

The Revista de Investigación de Física understands the importance and responsibility of publishing scientific research articles. In the Revista de Investigación de Física, the papers received go through a process in which authors, editors and reviewers are involved. The Revista de Investigación de Física ensures that the information provided in the articles is accurate and reliable, as well as the rights of those involved, good behavior and good procedures are preserved. For this, the Revista de Investigación de Física is guided by the standards and codes of ethics of the National Code of Scientific Integrity, the Committee on Publication Ethics and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICJME), as well as the declaration of the Principles of transparency and good practices in academic publication Principles of transparency and good practices in academic publication. As well as other Peruvian regulations related to scientific research, such as legal regulations on copyright, open access and others related to the topics of our journal.

Plagiarism and misconduct

The Revista de Investigación de Física considers plagiarism as fraud in publication, and is defined as the appropriation of another person's ideas, processes, results, or words without giving appropriate credit. Fraud and misconduct also include fabrication (invention of data or results), and falsification (manipulation of research materials, equipment, processes to alter data or results, as well as the change or omission of data or results. ).

The Revista de Investigación de Física does not tolerate plagiarism, fraud, or misconduct, which is why it establishes mechanisms to avoid it:

(a) During the editorial process, the Revista de Investigación de Física prevents the publication of plagiarism, fraud and misconduct by using peer opinion and text review using Turnitin's Similarity Check – iThenticate or Feedback Studio tools to detect similarities textual.

(b) After publication, if the Revista de Investigación de Física detects or is alerted and confirms cases of plagiarism, fraud or misconduct, it will proceed according to the guidelines and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE - http://publicationethics. org/) executing the retraction of the article in cases where fraud has been proven and determined.

The RIF journal is distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.

a. The authors retain their trademark and patent rights, as well as any process or procedure described in the article.

b. Authors can submit works disseminated as pre-print in repositories to the RIF journal. This must be made known in the job cover letter.

c. The authors retain the right to share, copy, distribute, perform and publicly communicate the article published in the RIF journal.

d. The authors retain the right to make a subsequent publication of their work, to use the article or any part of it (for example: a compilation of their works, notes for conferences, thesis, or for a book), as long as they indicate its publication initial in RIF magazine.

The RIF journal is registered in the Journal Portal of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.
