The objective of this article is to represent the wave-induced currents in the areas near the port of Ilo, with the use of SMC software and a self-developed program in Matlab. In the present study, the parabolic RefDif, for a monochromatic wave model was used for the wave module. The numerical model developed in Matlab allows representing the hydrodynamics of waves and induced currents based on the Navier Stokes equations and mass conservation, in differential form with two spatial dimensions (x, y) and one temporal (t). This model was developed taking into consideration the variables averaged in the vertical z axis and variable draft, considering the phenomenon of protrusion and refraction that the waves suffer when approaching the coastal zone of shallow waters. The model developed in Matlab was validated for the simplified case of straight beaches
