Lengua y Sociedad in Scopus

We share the great news that Lengua y Sociedad (journal of the Instituto de Investigaciones de Lingüística Aplicada-CILA) has been accepted into the Scopus database (the largest international academic database, one of the most prestigious, and one of the most important scientific publishers, which makes research visible worldwide). The news reads: “Congratulations, Lengua y Sociedad has been accepted for Scopus”.

Lengua y Sociedad is a journal specialized in theoretical and applied linguistics. Its publications include articles and reviews on Amazonian linguistics, Andean linguistics, Hispanic linguistics, sign language linguistics, Afro linguistics, among others. The publications are written in Spanish, English and Portuguese. It is also the only academic journal that has published manuscripts in Quechua and Asháninka. In its commitment to the peoples and linguistic diversity, it maintains its support for the development of the academic community of all in their own languages. Lengua y Sociedad adheres to good editorial practices and ethical conduct. It has signed the San Francisco DORA Declaration, subscribes to the Declaration of Helsinki, and respects ethical research on indigenous peoples.

And each of the academic and administrative members of the Instituto de Investigaciones de Lingüística Aplicada-CILA, who support the work and continuity of the institution. We would also like to thank the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences, as well as the Vice-Rectorate for Research for their support in the publication of the journal.

Lengua y Sociedad is a free and open access linguistics journal that publishes specialized works in Linguistics, which are original and unpublished research articles and reviews; and it is the only Peruvian journal indexed in this database. This San Marquina journal is one of the most widely read in several continents. And we are proud to transmit this news.
