Deleuze, problematizador del concepto de representación, la dualidad entre el sujeto-objeto y Guattari, fundador de la ecosofía (búsqueda de una sabiduría para habitar en el planeta), en el capítulo cuarto del libro Mil Mesetas, presentan una crítica a la lingüística, en la que arguye el camino ideológico por el que se edificaron el estructuralismo y la pragmática, al comprender el lenguaje como un ser universal disipado por variables que lo transforman. Para los autores, el lenguaje es, en sí, un cuerpo heterogéneo en constante cambio, un rizoma y el enunciado, una consigna.
